In the Acme city service
you are given 3 options for building your homepage. To post your spot
on Acme City you simply have to embed your spot in a html page. Click

>HOMEBUILDER NOVICE TOOL
First there is a
"novice" tool, called "homebuilder", that walks you through
building your first HTML only page. To get to this click on the "click
here to use the homebuilder" button. This tool is not useful
for putting your 3DML file on the web.

> FILE MANAGER
Next, if you have
already made pages on your computer you wish to upload, you can use
the "File manager". This is a browser utility that lets you upload
files using your browser window. To get to this click on the "Click
here to use the File Manager" button.
Using the file
manager: To upload files scroll down until you see the "upload
files" area. Simply click on the 'browse' button and pick
the files off your computer that you want to upload. Pick myspot.3dml
and myspot.html off your hard drive and click on the "upload
the files" button. To create a directory to place your images
in, or one for your sounds, click on the "create directory"
button. Put the name of the directory in the dialogue box, hit "create
directory" and your new directory will appear underneath
the list of files that have been uploaded. To upload files into your
new directory find the directory name and click on it. The page will
re-load and any files you now upload will be in the directory you
clicked on. To go back to your starting directory click on "parent
directory" under the list of directories. You can also rename
and delete files using the buttons in the file manager.

> FTP ACCESS FOR EXPERIENCED USERS
Finally you can upload
files using an FTP client. To do this connect your client to http://www.acmecity.com
using your Acme City user name as your login name, and your Acme City
password as the ftp password. This lets you upload directly to your
home directory. If you do not currently have an FTP software client,
try one of the FTP programs featured in our Web
Tools section.
