NEW ROVER RELEASE! STREAM POWERED!
We're thrilled to announce the latest release of Flatland Rover, version 1.5.2. There's a lot of special things about this new release, such as...

• Streaming Video!
  Now you can enrich the media in your spot with real live streaming video! Read about how to stream video in your spot in the tutorial.

• Version Parameter
  In case your spot uses features (like...oh...say....video...) that require a certain version of Rover, you can now designate the version of Rover your visitor needs in order to experience your spot. Read more about the version parameter in the tutorial.

• Proximity trigger for the <Action> tag
  We've modified your trigger to prolong the action...introducing the proximity trigger for the <Action> tag.. Read more about using proximity with your trigger in the tutorial.

But wait!
There's one more special thing about the latest Rover release. Due to hidden update voodoo, Rover will not automagically update itself from version 1.4.3 to the latest release, 1.5.2. If you are currently using Rover v1.4.3, you'll need to re-download Rover, simply by clicking right here. If you are currently using Rover v1.5.1, or any other version of Rover, you can use the regular update feature: just click on Rover's options button (3rd button from the right in the bottom left corner of the Rover window) and select "Upgrade Flatland Rover".

TEXTURE SPOTTING
We've cooked up a few new textures for your Spots! We're starting with a few, but intend to grow these texture libraries, in addition to all of the textures available in the blocksets. From walls to floors to liquids and switches, check out some of the new surfaces that can come alive in your Spots. Check out the new texture library now!

MAC PORT FOR ROVER IN THE WORKS
No really, it's true. Our intrepid programmer is deep in the lab now, welding together a version of Rover that will speak with Macs fluently! In early 2000, you'll be able to cruise through your favorite spots with your favorite iMac flavor. Stay tuned! Subscribe to Spotlight above if you'd like to be informed when the Mac port of Rover will be available.
